  • Suzette Widdison Iverson, MPH, MSHS, PA-C

    Originally hailing from Utah, Suzette Iverson spent much of her youth growing up in far-flung destinations across the globe. She began her career as a physician assistant at a rural community health center in Western Washington, and never left the area. Suzette cares deeply about equitable health care and social justice, and has worked with nonprofit organizations in the past such as the Humanitarian Aid Relief Team (providing medical care in Ghana), Physicians for Social Responsibility (working on the intersection of climate change and health), and Health Care for All. She is a family practice provider and worked with underserved populations for many years. Suzette is determined to not only teach her sons about justice, but show them a way to work toward a more just world. She received her dual Masters in Public Health and Physician Assistant Studies from George Washington University and her undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University.

  • Dr. Ron Patterson

    Until his retirement in 2016, Dr. Ron Patterson was the Senior Minister of Naples United Church of Christ in Naples, Florida. Before arriving in Naples in 2003, he served congregations in New York and Ohio. With his spouse Charnley, they moved to their new home in Tacoma five years ago. They have four children and eight grandchildren. They are members of Fox Island UCC. Ron is a former Board member of the National UCC and currently serves on that Board’s Development Committee. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Pacific Northwest Conference of the UCC and a former Board member of Planned Parenthood of Southwest Florida.

  • Metasabia Rigby

    Metasabia Rigby was born in Dire Dawa, Ethiopia. Her journey, like many, has many parts and broken pieces filled with love, delight, and transformation. She traversed oceans, lands, and seas, to reach Seattle. Metasabia has a deep affinity for and experience in peacebuilding and has collaborated with people in Afghanistan, Rwanda, France, and many parts of the U.S. to support healing and transformation in the aftermath of war, migration, and violence. Metasabia is drawn to this work because she believes in collective liberation, deepening and building relationships, skills, capacity, creativity, and joy, alongside communities most impacted by harm, violence, and incarceration. She does this work in remembrance of all her relatives and ancestors.

  • Todd Iverson

    Born and raised in Pierce County, Washington, Todd Iverson is a longshoreman at the Port of Tacoma where he is an active member of the ILWU and co-founder of the labor rights group America In Solidarity. A graduate of the University of Portland, he also served his community for twelve years as an elected Parks Commissioner with PenMet Parks. A career intertwined in the labor movement and politics, Todd believes the intersection of justice and the upward movement of society is best accomplished by the works of small groups of people in their community with the foundations of equity, hope, love and opportunity. He and his wife Suzette, live in Gig Harbor with their three spirited young boys. He is an avid fisherman, writer and youth sports coach.

  • Zeek Green

    Farrand (Zeek) Green Jr. is responsible for directing longshoremen in the safe, efficient, and proper handling of various types of vessel and rail cargo. Though he is well experienced in the handling of containers, autos, grain, and logs, he most enjoys working with break bulk, ro-ro, military and other non-containerized cargo. Zeek had always been active in his union, The International Longshore and Warehouse Union locals #23 and #98 until his family life began to require more of his time. He now struggles to squeeze in time for golf and can only wait for the day he can get back to performing spoken-word poetry as fervently as he once did. Zeek has been married to his wife Stacey for nearly 20 years. They live in North Tacoma with their daughter Maizy, son Langston and dog Bodhi.

  • Sharyl Torgerson

    Sharyl Torgerson grew up in Spokane and met her husband, Jon, while attending Pacific Lutheran University. After a few years in the corporate world, they took a break from their jobs to serve in the Peace Corps in Papua New Guinea. After returning to the States, Sharyl worked as an administrative assistant and bookkeeper in the private sector and also in several school districts. Sharyl believes in the mission of Matching Justice and providing grants to small community groups to further their goals.
